User Reviews about Casio Men's W96H-1BV Classic Sport Watch
I own this watch since year 2003 during my pre-medical course. And its features are awesome. When I entered proper medicine, the size, the easy to use digitals, the large displays makes it easier for me to go rounds and check time and even manually recheck vital signs for my study patients. The alarm too is good and the sound never wears down until now. It is also lightweight with easy grip and easy to adjust. Two of my classmates had the same watch with mine. Our only major problem is the band. Since we do handwashing almost every hour, the constant removal and re-use has caused the strap band to deteriorate and eventually detached. For almost 8 years, I had 4 change-of-strap bands incidents and it took for about 2-3 weeks to be replaced since you have to order the band from a "complete" casio store which is not readily available in my region. In terms of the battery, it is PERFECTLY working and so as the sound. The prints though has disappeared but it looks still nice as if there were no prints at all. The entire image is uniquely designed and does not look cheap if you're already wearing them. Its resistance to water cannot be overemphasized. I live in the costal pacific and I wear this watch while swimming almost every week. Its durability is also timely proven. I have 3 watches during my school years and this was my favorite watch, even if its obviously the cheapest. It is part of my transformation as a physician. Today, I seldom used this because my nephew has kept borrowing it from me when he go swimming. I cannot give it to him because of the sentimental value. Nice watch but take care of the band. -- Nice Watch Except for its Band
Having owned one of these watches for several years, I find that it provides all the necessary tools for casual everyday living. The controls are simple, so setting it with the switch from standard to daylight savings time is no problem. As a runner, I wear it to time my circuits. It's great as an alarm watch, awaking me every morning. The display has nice large numbers, a calendar feature, and a manual backlight. The band will wear out before the battery, so there's no worry of ever changing the battery (10-year life). My guess is that one of these will last at least three to five years, depending on how hard the wearer is on a band. -- Value, Features, and Quality
Owned this same watch for about 5 years. The band broke and a new one was only a dollar more than a replacement watch band! Excellent watch. -- A good basic watch
for the price.. its everything you need...
i work over 50 hours a week... and sometimes i forget what day it is.. one quick look down and i know!.. -- everything you need.....
I bought this model again because I forgot my first one overseas when I went on vacation. The style is just to my liking. Not complicated, flashy or bulky, just plain and simple at a very good price. After the battery runs out in about ten years I'm getting another one! -- So nice I bought it twice!
